So I believe we will create a character who is a mercenary. Mercenary groups are typically seen as bandits. However I believe McDuff and his mercenary group are Neutral between these 3 factions. I realize this is just a reveal but it could’ve been better.Įverything is pure speculation but yes the mentioned 3 factions. Let me know what y’all think about the game. Is he saying we will have an MMO that finally gets rid of tab targeting and button mashing? Like legit Dark Souls style combat but in an mmo? I feel like they could’ve touched a little more on what makes the game an MMO is all I’m saying. Also he mentioned action-driven combat system.

But then the second half of the presentation he said “here lies a world full of content you would expect from a next generation MMORPG.” If this is an MMO, do we have character creation because he kept saying “main character” which typically means the players playable character. So from what I have said, main character, in-depth side characters and story, massive creatures with good animations you would think a single-player game right. He showed a variety of enemies you will face in the world ranging from giant snakes to dragons to orc-like creatures, etc.
He reveals there are a variety of “mercenary” type characters hence the plot of the story will be revolved around mercenary groups. He also said “main character” in the first half which confuses me as I will discuss later on. The first half of the presentation he specifically talked about the characters and the world. The director did a very poor job of explaining exactly what type of game it is. If you watched the reveal of Crimson Desert you are probably just as confused as I am.
